What is the Virtues Project TM?
The Virtues Project was founded in 1991 by Linda Kavelin Popov,
Dr. Dan Popov and John Kavelin. It is an approach to bringing
out the best in people, with simple strategies for helping them
to live by their highest values. The project was honored as a
model program for families of all cultures by the United Nations
Secretariat during the International Year of the Family.
The Virtues Project offers strategies to people seeking to deepen
their spiritual practices, parents raising morally conscious
children, caregivers, and educators seeking to address the spiritual
and moral dimension, organizations seeking to enhance the corporate
spirit, and communities in need of healing.
The Virtues Project is not about the practice or beliefs of
any particular religion. It is based on the simple wisdom of
the world's diverse sacred traditions. The virtues are valued
by all cultures as the content of our character and the qualities
of the human spirit.
Linda and Dan Popov have described the virtues as the qualities
of the human soul and the attributes of God. They believe the
virtues are a very high order of angels. They are the means by
which we reflect the image and likeness of God.
The Virtues Project helps us remember who we really are.
