Self-discipline
Angel of the Indwelling Christ
Angels, ascending and descending – The imaging
power of mind receiving divine ideas and reflecting them into
consciousness
Matthew 4:11 Mark 13:26 -27, Hebrews 1:14.
Self-discipline means really self-control.
It is getting yourself to do what you really want to do, rather
than being tossed around by your feelings like a leaf in the
wind.
It means that you don’t lose control of yourself when
you feel hurt or angry, but you decide how you are going to talk
and what you are going to do.
Self-discipline is being temperate in all things.
I am awake, alert and self-controlled.
Self-discipline reaps the harvest of a peaceful and upright
life.
Self-discipline is saying no to ungodliness and worldly passions
and to live self-controlled, upright and godly.
Affirmation:
I am self-disciplined. God did not give me the
spirit of timidity but the spirit of power and love and self-control
[2 Timothy 1:7].
