Understanding

Disciple: Thomas

Month of July

Tribe of Israel:
Asher – Spiritual Understanding;
Manassah - Intellectual Understanding

Based on Revelations 21:11-14

Understanding springs from within the Christ within our spiritual cores.

Understanding produces an inner feeling for right relations.

It is the ability to lay hold of right relationships and appropriate them in love.

It is the power to grasp the essentially right relations which should exist between all objects and mental states upon this earth".

Understanding in the eye of God is the idea of rightness.

Understanding in man is his ability to conceive, establish and share right relationships with God, all people and His creation.

Let's take a few moments for contemplation, as we behold the secret place of the Most High, in our spiritual core. It is the pace Jesus bids us enter when we pray [Matthew 6:6, Luke 17:21]. Recognize that you are whole: spirit, mind and body. Now consciously and deliberately welcome and put on the yoke of omnipresent Christ, through your spiritual core. Allow the incarnate Christ to be Savior and sovereign Lord and King your life. Give heart felt praise and thanksgiving for this new found spiritual awakening. You are now being guided by the Holy Spirit into the love, grace and truth of your right relationship with God, all people and all creation through Christ [John 1:14-18].

Prayer:

We now share this prayer together.

We thank you Abba Father, that you have endowed us with the presence, power and mind of Christ, to search into our hearts, minds and souls. Christ's monastery within the only place to find and understand your love, grace and truth. We pray that our understanding, devotion and reverence for the incarnate Christ may increase. May we truly imitate Jesus Christ by worshipping you with humility, in child-like faith, and steadfast obedience. May we devote our lives to the fulfillment of your sure purposes of peace, justice and abundant life for all mankind, through Christ, our indwelling Lord. Amen.

Devotion:

In Proverbs 9:10 we read these words. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One, understanding.

These statements suggest that reverence and fear of the Lord are the basic ingredients in all wisdom and true intellectual and spiritual understanding. Jesus assures us that intimate knowledge and a mystical relationship with God are possible through Christ, in the spiritual core of every person. God is Spirit and can be discerned through true spiritual awakening and the discernment in every person [John 14:5-7].

Understanding is the mental-spiritual power or faculty within every person which enables us enter into and experience this true spiritual knowledge and right relationships. It is the power to grasp the essential and correct relationships which exist between all objects, mental states and omnipresent invisible Spiritual Substance.

Jesus of Nazareth demonstrated perfect understanding. He is full manifestation of man created in the presence, image and likeness of God. Jesus of Nazareth was in every way truly divine and at the same time truly human. Because he chose to put on the yoke of Christ-centered spiritual mindedness he did not to miss the mark in spiritual judgment, spiritual discernment and intellectual understanding. He did not judge according to appearances. He used righteously.

Imitating Jesus' is the sure way to understand and de-code the truth which stands under outer appearances and estranged relationships. This creative Christ-centered way of understanding and spiritual discernment involves casting aside the mind of the flesh [the anti-Christ] and turning within to the incarnate Christ and the Holy Spirit as Lord and Comforter. They are mankind's sure indwelling guides to true spiritual understanding and wisdom.

Let us now reflect on the Christ-centered, Spirit-based prayer Jesus which made to Abba Father, for all believers in John 17:20-23. He prayed, "I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."

These words are truly indicative of simplicity of Jesus' yoke. Christ-centered spirituality brings humility, inclusiveness, wisdom and understanding based on his personal knowledge, reverence and fear of the Lord, the incarnate Christ through one's spiritual core and the spiritual core of all people. The Christ-centered yoke of Jesus brings refreshment, peace, ransom and salvation to the human soul.

The believer's daily challenge is to steadfastly put on the yoke of Jesus Christ. He is our sure guide and way-shower to true wisdom, spiritual understanding, peace of mind, eternal and abundant life. Jesus lived in and modeled dwelling in the spiritual kingdom of God, now in our midst and within us [Luke 9:20-23].

You now experience the Foundations of Truth within you.

Daily Practical Application & Affirmation:

1. Understanding is now quickened in me.

2. By abiding in Christ, I am evolving as a radiating center of spiritual understanding, mighty to attract my good and to radiate truth to others.

3. In Christ, I experience true inner peace, poise and oneness with God, all people and all creation.
